Collect Wedding Ritual
These volunteers understand the Catholic marriage ritual and desire to serve others in a joyous ministry. They must also appreciate the importance of working with adults and their families at critical stage of their faith life. Wedding hostesses assist the priest with the wedding rehearsal (usually the evening before the wedding), arrive an hour before the wedding to make sure that all is ready and to greet the couple and guests. Hostesses will make sure that everything is put away before the weekend liturgies.
Initial Training: Done by the Director of Liturgy and then hands-on training with an experienced wedding hostess.
Time Commitment: 1 – 2 times per month (busiest time is May – October)
