On Sunday’s during the 8:00am Mass, children have the opportunity to participate in Children’s Liturgy of the Word. This is for ages 4-7. This is useful in preparing them for full participation later and opens them to the treasures of Scripture. Children are led out of church before the First Reading and brought back to their families at the Preparation of the Gifts. During that time, the children hear the readings at their level, listen to a children’s homily, and connect its meaning with various activities. They pray the Creed and Prayers of the Faithful. There is no registration necessary. The priest will call up the children who would like to participate to come forward during the 8:00am Mass.
