Sue Raymond: Receptionist
Sue is excited to be a part of St. Raphael Parish, after having happily worked more than 10 years for the Archdiocese of Chicago… first as a music minister and then as a Secretary, Bulletin Editor, Marriage Minister and Liturgy Coordinator (among other roles). The fifth of six children, her faith was formed at St. Michael’s Parish in Orland Park. Sue continued her education and faith journey at Lewis University earning a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Sue and her husband of over 30 years have raised three children at St. Patrick Parish, Lemont (recently merged with the ‘parish up the hill’ to become ‘St. Alphonsus and St. Patrick Parish’). At home, Sue enjoys singing, reading, knitting sweaters, and drinking a morning coffee while pleading with her dog to stop barking at the neighborhood cats.
St. Raphael Parish has made a lasting impression on Sue, with its caring parishioners and staff. “I hope you know that a congregation of hope-filled people doesn’t just happen. Great leadership and well planned liturgy energizes YOU, Christ’s disciples, to go out and change the world. In this day and age where our secular society and fast paced family-lives seem to be spiraling out of control, I believe there is something different and inspirational taking place at St. Raphael’s, and the world could use more of it!”
