Parish Secretary

St. Raphael is seeking a full time Parish Secretary, to provide a variety of general administrative duties including: coordinating arrangements for funerals and weddings, sacramental record keeping, and preparing electronic communications. Secretarial experience with excellent typing skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Familiarity with a large Catholic parish environment is much desired. This position requires self-direction, excellent people skills, sensitivity to confidentiality, and an ability to work in a team environment. Director of Children’s Religious Education

St. Raphael is seeking a faith-filled Catholic to serve as a full time Director of Children’s Religious Education. The Director of Children’s Religious Education serves as a visible leader in the parish community and assists the parish community in building a solid foundation of catechetical and faith formation ministry. The Director is also responsible for communicating with parents an understanding of the importance of ongoing parental involvement and support in the faith formation of their children. Recruit catechists and volunteers and provide training to increase their catechetical knowledge.

We are looking for an applicant with creative energy, passion for God, as well as strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: management of religious education programming for 1st through 6th Grade, sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation, First Communion and collaboration on other parish activities.A degree in education, theology or a related field is preferred along with experience in parish religious education. A collaborative approach and good communication and computer skills are also necessary.
