Undy Sunday

Most people take things like underwear for granted.  Catholic Charities has found that low-income families and seniors living on poverty-level incomes do not spend money on underwear even though they desperately need it.

St. Raphael partners with Catholic Charities during its annual Undy Sunday drive. One Sunday in October, new underwear is collected to benefit the children, adults and seniors who receive support from Catholic Charities. St. Raphael parishioners deliver the underwear to a site selected by Catholic Charities. All sizes of underwear, undershirts, socks and pajamas are needed.

Volunteers are needed to:

• Donate items during the collection

• 1 – 2 people needed to collect donated items from the school and from the Narthex and store them in a room on the St. Raphael campus.

• 1 – 2 people needed to sort and count items

• 1 – 2 people needed to deliver items Catholic Charities
